Radda to Go on Vacation, Deputy Governor to Take Charge

In a session held on Tuesday, the Katsina State House of Assembly granted Governor Malam Dikko Umar Radda permission to take a vacation, as requested by the governor in his letter to the assembly.

In his letter, the governor stated that he would commence his vacation on Thursday, 18th July.

The Speaker of the Katsina State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Nasir Yahaya Daura, announced the assembly's approval after the Chief Whip read the governor's letter in the legislative chamber.

The approval is in accordance with Section 190, which mandates the governor to seek the state assembly's consent before going on leave.

The Deputy Governor will assume the state's responsibilities until the governor returns and officially notifies the assembly of his resumption.
